How we Styled our Front Porch for Fall

The arrival of cooler weather, and the official kick off to the fall season this weekend has inspired me to finally work on styling my front porch. Building our home is still a work in progress, and the yard work is coming along, but getting the front porch ready for the fall season at least makes me feel like we’re making some progress.

We knew we wanted rocking chairs, so we found these rockers from Target which matched the columns perfectly! Plus they are super comfortable.

It’s been nice being able to sit on the front porch to catch up on some work, and Luna, (our french bulldog), just loves to hang out and say hello to everyone walking by.

For the front door wreath, we chose a beautiful pastel pumpkin piece made by Enchanted Vines.

The Sitting Area

With our house being a deep and moody charcoal color, I wanted to add soft fall hues in the décor to create a heavy contrast. The colorful plantings add the perfect pop of color, and I made sure to add texture with the fluted planter and the seagrass basket.

I don’t have much of a green thumb, but luckily my brother does! His company Green Artiscapes filled the planters and front planting bed with beautiful fall plantings, flowing vines, and adorable pumpkins. I’m loving the barrel planter he added.

The look of our front porch will change with the 4 seasons here in New England, and we can’t wait to share how it transforms next time.
