Mike and Amy bought this expanded ranch on a quiet dead end street and always knew they would one day make it their dream home. Five years and 2 adorable girls later they were finally ready to make it a home they could fall in love with.
BEFORE: The house had a decent footprint but at only 22’ deep the main living area was tight. At some point a family room was added on to the right side, but due to the chimney and stair locations it was closed off from the main living area.
AFTER: New siding, handmade cedar shutters, and an adorable new front porch.
Siding details: Certainteed Pacific Blue siding from Lansing Building Products.

BEFORE: The main living room was barely 10′ wide and the fireplace took up most of the main wall. The adjoining kitchen was also barely 10′ deep and short on storage.
AFTER: Removing the brick fireplace and combining the front rooms allowed for a much more open living space.
The front room features a custom built in with double desks, stained oak counters, bookshelves with storage, and cabinets featuring black ring pull hardware. This space boasts soaring ceilings with wood beams open to the kitchen and down the hall is the entrance to the walk in pantry.
BEFORE: A view towards the back of the house where we added a new family room to make the house not-so-shallow!
The view from the kitchen overlooks the new family room with vaulted shiplap ceilings, windows with seating, built in shelving, and a fireplace with blue subway tile to compliment the tiered kitchen island.
