The Morrison Project: Full Home Tour

We’re beyond excited to unveil our latest new construction: The Morrison Project. With 4 spacious bedrooms, 5 luxurious bathrooms, and nearly 5,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space, this home is a true masterpiece with a gorgeous transitional style interior.

While most of our projects are custom builds crafted for specific clients, we found this piece of land that gave us an exciting opportunity to test a new floor plan with this spec build.

The design features a bit more room definition, including a formal dining room—something we haven’t built in a while. Seeing it hit the market and sell so quickly was the cherry on top!

The Exterior

Newly built modern farmhouse with Sterling gray siding, black accents, and natural wood shutters. Featuring board and batten detailing above the garage, black garage doors, and a welcoming front entryway with fir wood ceiling. A stunning example of contemporary exterior design with contrasting colors and textures
On the exterior of this home, we went with a classic farmhouse palette and wood accents to fit in with the style of the other homes in the neighborhood.

The Foyer

The foyer has more of a modern flair, with sleek black metal balusters and floor-to-ceiling moldings on the walls.

The entrance opens up to a comfortable sitting room where we added some understated details, like the 3-piece crown molding and timeless ceiling medallion.

The paint colors we used for the foyer walls is Benjamin Moore Dove Wing OC-18, Benjamin Moore Collingwood OC-28 in the the sitting room, and Benjamin Moore Winter Gates AC-30 for the accent wall.

The front sitting room opens to the dining room where we installed floor to ceiling tall panels and 2-piece crown molding.

The Formal Dining Room

In the dining room the walls, ceiling, and trim are all one color: Benjamin Moore Dove Wing OC-18

Main Living Room

In the main living room, we installed a low profile coffered ceiling and an oversized slider to bring in lots of natural light. We accented the fireplace wall with a textured grasscloth wallpaper.

The Kitchen and Pantry

The color of the kitchen walls are Benjamin Moore Dove Wing OC-18.

The kitchen has a neutral color palette with warm taupe cabinets mixed with stained wood accents and brass fixtures. For the backsplash, we mixed 2 different materials: solid quartz on the perimeter and a varied matte white subway tile on the side walls.

In the walk-in pantry off the kitchen, we installed subway tile in a vertical stacked pattern on the window wall, and a matching hexagon tile on the cabinet walls. We also went with a little pop of color, a rich green/blue cabinet color to bring some life into the space.

The Office and Powder Room

In the home office, we installed an entire wall of built-ins with a desk, cabinet storage, and arch top bookcases.

We carried the same soft earthy blue into the powder room wainscoting, where we also installed the same grasscloth wallpaper as the living room fireplace wall.

Soft Blue Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Kentucky Haze AC-16.

The Primary Suite

The primary suite features a large comfortable main bedroom with a tray ceiling, accent wall, and double closets.

The private en suite bathroom has a relaxing soaking tub and separate double vanities.

Accent Wall Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Winter Gates AC-30
