Going back and doing projects for old clients is always fun! The homeowners at our Navy Blue Inspired New Build project have a growing family and decided that it was time to finish the basement. Their wishlist included a full bathroom, an office space, and some fun accents
The main family room accent wall is a fun wall design painted with Benjamin Moore “Kendall Charcoal” HC-166. There was a structural beam hanging down from the ceiling so we decided to wrap it with oak and stain it with Minwax “Jacobean” to add some character.

For the basement office we continued the LVT flooring and finished off the entrance with gray sliding barn door painted to match the accent wall.

When we built the house a few years ago, we installed rough underground plumbing for a future bathroom. With that piping already in place, we built out a full bathroom with a tiled shower, storage shelf, and fun pattern floor tile. A shower door was installed later but it wasn’t ready in time for pictures.
When looking for basement bathroom tile ideas, the homeowner wanted a very neutral color scheme. Even though we used 4 different tiles for this small bathroom, the overall design is very muted and nature-inspired. The greige plank tiles on the side walls, the fun hexagon tile on the back wall, and the elaborate-patterned floor tile are all different, but work together as one color scheme.

The wet bar is a great functional area for the basement living space. Before we started this project they had a secondary refrigerator in the unfinished basement so we decided to incorporate it into the finished space along with some cabinet storage, counters, and a working sink set just under the window overlooking the pool in the backyard.

We were thrilled to be able to help our clients finish their basement and know that they will enjoy this space for many years to come!
