We like to refer to lighting as the “jewelry” of the home. It is just one of the many small details that can brighten up your home, and the choices you make can make or break your space!

Replacing an old fixture with a new, stylish one has the power to transform the entire vibe and style of every single room in your home.

The right lighting not only brightens up your space, but also sets the perfect mood and enhances the overall design. Whether you’re drawn to the elegant allure of pendants, the practicality of wall lights, or the versatile charm of an amazing chandelier, there’s a myriad of choices waiting to be explored.

Dive into 8 of our curated selections of home lighting ideas and discover the ideal lighting design for your space.

1. Blair Wall Sconce in Aged Brass by rejuvenation

The clean, timeless design look of Rejuvenation’s Blair Wall sconce makes it a beautiful choice for a variety of spaces.

Influenced by 1940’s French industrial lighting, this fixture would be ideal in the bathroom, kitchen, or even on a stairway wall.

The unique textured glass featured in the Helios Aged Brass Chandelier makes it a show stopper in any space. It’s a bit futuristic, and while the design leans mid-century modern it can fit in with a variety of different styles.

Above, we installed it in a home office but it can also work well as a traditional dining room chandelier or in a large family room.

Giving a nod to Bohemian style, the Nash Layered Ceiling Light from Shades of Light provides a soft understated elegance in this entryway.

Other places to consider this stylish piece are in bedrooms, over a soaking tub, or in a home office.

The Bentlee Pendant from Shades of Light is a beautiful kitchen pendant lighting option if you’re looking for something with mixed metals and clean lines.

In this kitchen, the subtle brushed gold tones soften the matte black tones. This fixture is also available in other color combinations.

The Xavier Pendant by Crystorama exudes a stylish and chic vibe with mixed metals and a classic cone shaped shade.

Featured over the kitchen sink in our own scullery, this pendant is also an excellent choice for kitchen pendant lighting or accent lighting, such as over a window seat.

The mid-century modern flair of the Giles Pendant and the 6-Light Geometric chandelier from Wayfair made them the perfect pairing for this open kitchen and family room floor plan.

These two lights could also be paired in a kitchen and dining room setting together, or installed separately. The Geometric Chandelier would be gorgeous in an entryway or as bedroom lighting.

I am drawn to the understated glamour of the Clover ceiling fixture by Crystorama and knew we’d use it in our own home.

Here we installed it in the foyer, but we’ve also installed this elegant fixture in bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices.
