6 Powder Room Design Ideas

At the beginning of every project, the first thing we do with our clients is look at pictures together so I can get a sense of what appeals to them, (and what doesn’t)! Knowing what a client doesn’t like is almost more important than knowing what they do like. If you’re thinking about doing a home renovation, or simply sprucing up your bathroom, these 6 powder room design ideas are here to give you some major inspo to kick off your next project!

1.) Tiled Backsplash from Counter to Ceiling

Why we love this idea: We are swooning over how this gray chevron tile pairs with a unique curvy mirror to create the vibe of an upscale powder room.

2.) Fun Floor Tile

Why we love this idea: Your guest bathroom floor is the perfect place to go for that fun, bold, unique, or interesting tile that you’ve been staring at!

3.) Unique Shaped Vanity Mirror

Why we love this idea: Having a unique bathroom vanity mirror adds a little flair and it’s also a great conversation piece. We love how the angled lines on this mirror match the angled lines in the floor tile.

4.) Hidden Storage Nook

Why we love this idea: When you have a small bathroom area, every little bit of storage helps!  In this project, we stole a little nook for a built-in hidden cabinet on the shiplap wall.

5.) Bathroom Towel Nook

ProjectCreating a Family Bathroom From Scratch

Why we love this idea: A clever design to help make your family bathroom more comfortable for everyone, is this built-in towel nook idea. It takes up the same amount of space as a traditional towel rack, but fits at least double the amount of towels and keeps them all separate for easier drying.

6.) Geometric Light Fixture

Why we love this idea: I personally love the look of a hanging pendant in a powder room! The interesting shape of this geometric metal fixture made it an easy choice for this bathroom.

Primary Suite Escape: Bedroom & Bathroom Renovation Reveal

Kevin and Michelle came to us with a vision of transforming their primary suite to feel like a luxurious escape, but the existing layout was anything but relaxing. A cramped closet, single-sink vanity, and a shower that felt more like a phone booth left little room for comfort.

In this project, we reimagined the entire space, knocking down walls and reworking the footprint to create the ultimate suite experience. By shifting the closet into the bedroom and expanding the bathroom, we opened up new possibilities. The result? A double vanity with custom cabinetry, a spacious walk-in shower with bold green accent tiles, and a closet that no longer feels like a tight squeeze.

This was more than just a renovation – it was about giving Kevin and Michelle the peaceful retreat they’d been dreaming of for years. Take a look at the before-and-after shots and see how a little creativity (and some smart design choices) can completely transform a space.
